If your payment is not received 15 days from the date of your invoice, a failure to pay notice will be sent to you. This notice will say you have 20 days to pay the premium or coverage may be stopped. If you still do not pay, a Notice of Case Action will be mailed letting you know that your payment has not been received and giving you hearing rights.
If your family income is more than 225 percent of the federal poverty level, your case will be closed and your children will be ineligible for coverage for six months. If your family income is less than 225 percent of the federal poverty level, your children will not be covered until you pay the premium.
