Do new hires have to complete both the initial and annual training requirements?

All new hires have to complete the initial training requirements within 90 days of hire and must have all initial training complete before they can be left solely responsible for the supervision of children.

Any new staff hired within a fiscal year (defined as July 1 – June 30) is not required to complete the annual training requirement for that fiscal year. For example: A new staff member is hired 8/1/17 and another new staff member is hired 4/1/18. Both hire dates are within FY2018. Neither staff is required to complete the FY2018 annual training requirement. These two staff will be required to complete the FY2019 annual training requirement.
