My parent is in a nursing home, is she eligible for other services?

Individuals who qualify for MO HealthNet (Medicaid), and who live in a nursing facility, may qualify to have all, or part, of their costs for the facility paid by MO HealthNet. Individuals also receive MO HealthNet to pay for the cost of medical expenses such as doctor visits that would be covered if the person were not in a nursing facility.

Adults residing in licensed nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and residential care facilities may receive Supplemental Nursing Care (SNC) which provides MO HealthNet coverage and monthly cash benefits to help with paying for their care.

An application can be downloaded online. You may also apply in person by visiting a Family Support Division Resource Center located near you; or you can call 1-855-373-4636 and ask them to mail an application to you.
