You can use our pre-screening calculator to see if you may
be eligible. For uninsured or pregnant women and newborns, select “Apply for
Health Care” button at mydss.mo.gov/
Getting benefits or assessing eligibility is a four-step process:
· Fill out the Pre-screening Calculator. First, you will provide some basic information and be able to see if you appear to qualify. The calculator will also assess your eligibility for other insurance affordability programs including advanced premium tax credits and cost sharing reductions that will reduce your costs for enrolling in qualified health plans.
· Set up an account. You will choose a user name, password, and security questions for added protection. Create your mydss.mo.gov account.
· Fill out the online application. You will provide information about you and your family, like income, household size, current health coverage information, and more. This will help mydss.mo.gov find options that meet your needs.
· Letter. The Family Support Division will send a letter letting you know the outcome of your application. The letter will tell you if you or anyone in your family will receive coverage, the type of coverage, the cost if any, and when the coverage begins.
Enroll. If you or members of your family are in a managed care
area, you can enroll with a managed care plan online and decide how you pay
your premiums (if applicable) to the MO HealthNet Division.
