What happens if I enter the wrong PIN?

When using your card for a Food Stamp benefit or Temporary Assistance cash benefit transaction, you have four tries each day to enter your correct PIN. After four incorrect tries in one day, your card will be “locked” for the duration of the day. You will be unable to make additional attempts until after midnight if you are locked out of your EBT card. If you cannot remember your PIN or do not want to wait until after midnight to attempt to access your benefits, you can immediately select a new PIN by calling 800-997-7777. Customer service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
