How does it work?

If you qualify for LIHEAP, you will get help through Energy Assistance or the Energy Crisis Intervention Program.

Energy Assistance will give you a one-time payment to help pay your main fuel heating bill during the months of November through March. The amount of help you receive is based on the size of your household, your household income, and the type of heating fuel used in your home.

If your service has been shut off or is in threat of being shut off or are running short of purchased fuel (propane) you may receive additional assistance through the Energy Crisis Intervention Program.
